5-year Warranty Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions (T&C) for a 5-year extended warranty on equipment sold by HMD, which includes 2 years of full coverage and 3 years of powertrain coverage:

Coverage Period:

The extended warranty period is for a total of 5 years from the date of the original equipment purchase.

The coverage is divided into two phases:

a. The first 2 years provide comprehensive, full coverage.

b. The subsequent 3 years cover the powertrain components.

Eligibility:

The extended warranty is available for equipment that is purchased new from HMD.

Full Coverage (First 2 Years):

During the initial 2 years, the warranty covers all manufacturing defects and operational issues, excluding normal wear and tear.

This includes parts for any necessary repairs or replacements.

Powertrain Coverage (Next 3 Years):

The subsequent 3 years of coverage are specific to the powertrain components, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and drive systems.

This coverage applies to manufacturing defects and malfunctions of powertrain components.

Exclusions:

The extended warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, negligence, or accidents.

Wear and tear and GETs due to normal usage are not covered, except for powertrain components during the designated coverage period.

Any unauthorised parts, lubricants, modifications or repairs void the warranty.

Maintenance Requirements:

To maintain warranty coverage, regular maintenance and servicing must be performed as per the manufacturer's recommended schedule.

Proof of maintenance records may be required in the event of a warranty claim.

Transferability:

This extended warranty may be transferable to a subsequent owner of the equipment, subject to certain conditions and a transfer fee. Please contact the warranty provider for details.

Claims Process:

In the event of a warranty claim, contact HMD service centre for inspection and repair.

All repairs must be performed by HMD or any authorised service personnel or facilities.

Limitation of Liability:

The warranty provider's liability is limited to the repair or replacement of covered components as outlined in this warranty.

Termination:

The warranty may be terminated if the equipment is used in violation of the terms and conditions.

Validity:

The warranty is valid from November 2023 until March 2024.

Notices:

Any changes to the contact information provided to the warranty provider must be promptly communicated to ensure timely notifications.
